For over 35 years, we have been part of the Amsterdam-East community. Since January 1, 1991, we have been the happy and proud owners of Restaurant Fook-Sing.

I, Chef Lee, am in charge of the kitchen and work the wok myself. I carry the responsibility for serving well-prepared, excellent meals. Mama Lee is our ever-cheerful, talkative, and curious hostess. She is always there for our guests, ready to welcome them and make sure everyone leaves with a smile.

In our restaurant, we have always found it important to incorporate our cultural heritage and traditions into our food. Since we originally come from the Canton region of China, we believe it is very important that the love of cooking passed down by our ancestors can still be seen in our dishes. When we serve our food, there are two things we consider crucial: high-quality cooking and fresh ingredients, and of course, a touch of creativity.

In Chinese tradition, we have a saying: "民以食為天". Literally translated, this means: "People regard food as heaven." In our kitchen, we embrace this idea and reflect it in our culinary art. With this mindset, and with the belief that food can always be approached as an art form as well as a way to satisfy hunger, combined with my passion for the Chinese kitchen, I was led to the decision to open Fook-Sing.
